Pembacaan pemenang dari ATA 2017 dibagi menjadi dua hari dan detikHOT berkesempatan untuk meliput perheletan tersebut di hari kedua.
Penyanyi asal Indonesia, Afgansyah Reza atau Afgan turut menjadi pengisi acara dalam malam penghargaan tersebut.
Selain Afgan, tampil sejumlah musisi Asia lainnya, di antaranya The Air, Druv Kent, GG Margee, Bii, King Jong Kook, dan Joanna Dong. Stephani Carrington, Bakri Zainal, dan Wang Li Huan menjadi pemandu acara tersebut.
Reality show 'The Amazing Race Asia' musim kelima tampaknya menjadi acara televisi yang banyak memborong piala. Ada tiga kemenangan yang mereka peroleh, masing-masing untuk kategori Best Adaptation of An Existing Format', 'Best Reality Show', dan 'Best General Entertaiment Programme'.
Sedangkan presenter asal Indonesia, Pangeran Siahaan berhasil menang di kategori Best Sports Presenter Commentator untuk program 'Super Sabtu' yang tayang di kanal beIN Sports 1, Singapura.
Asian Television Awards (ATA) merupakan ajang penghargaan sebagai apresiasi bagi insan pertelevisian di Asia. Tahun ini, acara tersebut telah menginjak usia 22 tahun.
