Film produksi DreamWorks Animation itu mendapat 10 nominasi, diikuti film animasi Disney dan 'Song of the Sea' dengan raihan masing-masing tujuh nominasi. 'The Lego Movie' mengikuti di bawahnya dengan enam nominasi. Masing-masing film tersebut juga bersaing di kategori Best Animated Feature bersama "Cheatin' ", "The Book of Life" dan "The Tale of Princess Kaguya".
Pixar absen dari daftar dari nominasi karena mereka belum mengeluarkan film apapun setelah 'Monster University' pada 2013 lalu. Mereka beru berencana mengeluarkan dua film "Inside Out" dan "The Good Dinosaur" pada 2015.
