Avenged Sevenfold merupakan grup musik Heavy Metal Amerika Serikat yang dibentuk pada tahun 1999. Grup musik ini berasal dari Huntington Beach, California.

Grup ini juga memiliki panggilan A7X. Salah satu lagunya yang cukup populer miliknya berjudul 'Dear God'. Lagu ini juga dibawakan dengan bahasa yang ringan dan mudah dimengerti, berbeda dengan lagu A7X lainnya yang keras.

'Dear God' dirilis pada tahun 2007. Menurut situs Lyricinterpretations, lagu ini menceritakan tentang keriduan personel A7X kepada keluarganya masing-masing saat Avenged sedang melakukan tur. Dan hanya kepada Tuhan mereka percaya Tuhan akan menjaga keluarganya.
