Ungkapan Bahagia Joey Alexander Bisa Tampil di Grammy

Jakarta - Nama Joey Alexander sejak beberapa pekan terakhir sedang ngetren karena jadi pianis termuda yang masuk ke nominasi Grammy Awards 2016 untuk kategori jazz. Yang membuatnya semakin istimewa adalah karena dia orang Indonesia.

Pianis 12 tahun itu merasa bangga karena bisa tampil di panggungutamaGrammy. Seperti halnya kebanggaan masyarakat Indonesia yang menonton penampilannya pada Selasa (16/2/2016) waktu Indonesia atau Senin (15/2/2016) waktu Amerika Serikat.

Lewat Instagram pribadinya, Joey mengunggah video penampilannya di panggung anugerah musik dunia itu. Berdurasi singkat, namun tetap bikin merinding. Apalagi ketika para bintang tamu seperti Taylor Swift melakukan standing ovation di akhir penampilan Joey.

"Monday was a new experience for me. Being the youngest nominee in the jazz categories is a great honor. Congratulations to all the winners, they are all my favorites ("Uptown Funk" too ;) )," tulisnya pada Kamis (18/2/2016).

Musisi kelahiran Bali tahun 2003 itu menekankan, momen penampilannya di Grammy adalah yang paling bermakna sepanjang karier bermusiknya.

"The most rewarding part for me was performing at the Premiere Ceremony with Eric Harland on drums and Dave Robaire on bass, and representing the jazz community at @thegrammys main ceremony. It gave me so much joy to see artists and fans of other genres digging jazz!" lanjut sang pianis muda.

Berada di tengah-tengah bintang papan atas dunia membuat Joey pun merasa bahagia. Apalagi ketika ia bisa bertemu dengan aktor sekelas Johnny Depp.

"It was also great to see Mr. Herbie Hancock and meet one of my favorite actors, Johnny Depp (I will always think he is a pirate :) )," candanya polos.

Di akhir tulisannya, ia berterimakasih kepada penggemar dan semua orang yang sudah mendukungnya. Termasuk kepada Grammy Awards yang telah mengikusertakan dirinya ke nominasi.
