Ini Daftar Finalis Kritikus Buku Amerika Serikat

Jakarta - Setelah 39 tahun berdirinya 'The National Book Critics Circle', satu buku masuk dalam finalis dengan kategori yang berbeda. Penulisnya adalah Claudia Rankine yang menerbitkan prosa puisi 'Citizen: An Lyric Amerika' yang diterbitkan oleh Minnesota Indie Graywolf Press.

"Karya Rankie di kategori yang terpisah membuktikan bukunya sangat kompleksitas, narasinya bagus, dan mengandung unsur seni," ungkap dewan juri Komite Puisi Rigoberto Gonzalez dilansir dari LA Times, Rabu (21/1/2015).

The National Book Critics Circle 2014 juga mengumumkan pemenang dari tiga hadiah khusus. Penghargaan Ivan Sandrof Lifetime Achievement diberikan kepada novelis peraih Pulitzer Toni Morrison.

Penghargaan ini diikuti oleh 600 anggota di Amerika Serikat. Penghargaan dan finalisnya dipilih oleh dewan juri termasuk staf penulis Los Angeles Times Carolyn Kellogg.
